THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
RSM Founder & Artistic Director, James Robert, is an accomplished Australian violinist, educator, author, and conductor. He is proud to have an extensive portfolio of former and current students who have gone on to become accomplished professional violinists.
After many years abroad as both a student and professional musician, James returned to Sydney with a passion for fostering a holistic approach to music education—one that balances technical excellence with the broader opportunities required for true artistic growth.
His vision for RSM combines education with philanthropy, a philosophy that has guided the school’s growth from a single apartment in Sydney’s Inner West to a vibrant Victorian terrace with its own boutique concert hall in Central Sydney.
