Project25: Securing a Performance Home for the Robert School of Music
Vision: To establish a dedicated performance home and venue for the Robert School of Music by 2025, providing a stable platform for our students to perform, learn, and grow, while enriching the local cultural scene.
Why This Matters: Our students deserve a home where they can showcase their talents and grow their skills in a supportive, professional environment. This venue will be more than just a space—it will be a hub for creativity, learning, and community engagement.
How We Stand Out: At RSM, we are not just a music school; we are Sydney’s premier boutique institution with the only complete string education curriculum. This curriculum, now a hallmark of our school, guides students from their first notes to the pinnacle of musical mastery.
Developed during his tenure in Singapore, Mr James Robert's expert guidance sees our students routinely achieve diploma-level proficiency within just 3 to 5 years of dedicated study. This extraordinary level of progress speaks volumes about the quality and effectiveness of our programme.
At RSM, we are not merely teaching music; we are shaping future maestros and nurturing a lifelong passion for the arts.
Join us in our Project25 campaign to secure a permanent performance home and continue this tradition of excellence. Your support will help us elevate our impact and reach new heights in music education.
Project Pathways
RSM is exploring three main pathways to achieve our project goals:
-
Strategic Partnerships: We are seeking to partner with other arts, community and corporate organisations who align with our schools missions and values to provide support in the form of endorsements, donations or sponsored venue spaces.
-
Affordable Long-Term Lease: We are seeking assistance to negotiate a favourable lease term on an existing venue or space with the potential to be transformed into our performance home.
-
Community and Corporate Support: We are seeking to engage with the wider community with our fundraising campaign and events to grow our support network. We seek regular donations in the form or School Friends and Transformational Patrons who help to grow our Young Artists Programme which provides extremely talented students with access to fine instruments, world class tuition and performance opportunities.
